About Jondon Trevena

2002 US Olympic Team Member
-5,000 meters

Jondon grew up as an inline skater in the roller rinks of his family's business in Fort Collins, Colorado.  He began as a roller hockey player, which is still a passion of his, then made his way into racing.  In 1995 he followed in the blade-marks of fellow Q Sporter KC Boutiette, as he too made the switch from wheels to the ice.  As an inliner, Jondon skated professionally for four years and among his many titles is the 1995 100K World Champion (that's 62 miles!).    It didn't take long for Jondon to get comfortable on the ice.  He quickly established himself as one of America's strongest distance skaters and in 1998 he earned a spot on the Nagano Olympic Team in the 10,000 meters.  Four years later Jondon has continued his winning ways... in December of 2001 he earned a spot on his second Olympic Team and will compete in Salt Lake in the 5000 meter event.

Other:

Jondon considers making the Olympic team (twice) his greatest feat.  After skating he plans to return home to Colorado and get involved more involved with the family roller-rink business.  He's looking forward to starting a children's roller hocky team, coaching speedskating, and perhaps trying his hand at professional roller-hockey.  Country music is his thing.  As for food it's either Italian or steak, just "lots of it".  To Jondon, spending time with friends and family is what he treasures most, and misses most at he travels the world skating.  His greatest influence..."Parents and faith, without either I would not be where I am today."
